Windy conditions today, but the Manta 5 Pro handled it. More test flights this week before this thing goes anywhere near a production to really dial it in, but enjoying it so far! .

At AXPONA 2026 in Chicago, I sat down to film an interview with the chief designer Chris Witham of Deus Audio Machines to talk about the Invicta 60, a 60-inch infrasonic subwoofer that weighs 885 pounds and produces bass that reaches below the threshold of human hearing. In this 2-minute feature, Chris breaks down the engineering behind the MASS Drive motor system, what makes infrasonic reproduction different from conventional subwoofer design, and why this machine exists.

Three days at Axpona 2026. This show does not slow down.

Hundreds of rooms, custom car audio, vinyl, headphones, hi-fi systems worth more than most cars, and a floor full of people who are genuinely obsessed with sound in the best possible way.

Covering this event on Canon Cinema was a blast. Exhausting, nonstop, and absolutely worth it.

RitFit doesn't make this in blue. I made it blue.

Never been one to accept the default. Every red component off the machine, primed, and sprayed with Behr DTM Safety Blue through a @Graco X17 airless sprayer. Now it looks like it was built for this space.

Two days. Six environments. One Class B airspace authorization over O'Hare.

Shot this as Steadicam operator and drone pilot for a City of Rosemont TV commercial with Big Shoulders Productions. Restaurants, a dueling piano bar, minor league baseball, an outdoor concert, and fireworks, all requiring different approaches to camera movement and aerial planning.

Flying near O'Hare means FAA authorization before anything goes in the air. Worth it for the fireworks sequence.

Setup day at @bigshouldersdigitalvideo for a satellite media tour production.

A medical specialist will be patched live into news stations across the country from this room. That means the lighting, camera package, teleprompter, framing, and technical setup all have to be broadcast-ready before talent ever sits down.

This is the part of the job most people never see and the part that determines whether the segment looks like a professional production or doesn't.
